- Acceptance protocol
- A document confirming that a defined scope of works has been completed and accepted. It transfers responsibility for the scope and starts the clock on deadlines — for payment and for warranty.
- Approval workflow
- A defined path that a document or request follows from submission to decision: who reviews, who approves, in what order, and within what deadline.
- As-built measurement
- Determining the quantities of work actually performed, which form the basis for payment. Distinct from the bill of quantities, which states the quantities planned before execution.

- CDE — common data environment
- Common Data Environment: a single agreed-upon place for storing and sharing project documentation, with control over versions, statuses, and permissions. Not the same thing as a shared drive.
- Construction logbook
- The official record of the course of the works (dziennik budowy — the statutory site diary under Polish construction law), used to register events and circumstances relevant to assessing whether the works were executed correctly. Kept on paper or electronically (EDB).

- Directive schedule
- The master schedule of the contract, setting the time frame and milestones against which progress is measured. Detailed schedules must fit within it.

- Material register
- A structured record of the materials incorporated on a contract: what was ordered, what was delivered, what was approved for installation, and what was actually built in — together with the quality documents.

- Work front
- A delineated area of the construction site where works of a given type are carried out in a given period. The basic unit of planning and progress reporting.
